How We Handle Your Data

We built this site with your privacy in mind. Here's exactly what we store, why we store it, and how to delete it whenever you want.

What We Store

We keep things simple. Everything listed below is either stored in your browser (so only you can see it) or on our server as an anonymous record with no name or email attached. We never sell or share your data with anyone.

Your Votes

When you vote on a design, we save which designs you liked and in which categories. This is stored in your browser and, if we have a server connection, also saved anonymously on our server so votes count toward the totals.

Device ID

A random code (like a lottery ticket number) that helps us make sure one person isn't voting a thousand times. It's not a fingerprint and it's not connected to your name, email, or anything personal. You can delete it anytime and a new one will be created next time you vote.

Feedback & Tags

If you leave quick feedback tags on a design (like "easy to use" or "looks great"), those tags are saved in your browser so you can see what you already said.

Remix Cart

Features you collect for your remix are saved in your browser so they're still there when you come back. This never leaves your device.

Preferences

Your theme choice (Chill or Hype mode) and whether you prefer the grid or immersive gallery view. Stored in your browser only.

Viewing History

Which designs you've viewed in immersive mode, so we can show you which ones you haven't seen yet. Stays in your browser only.

Feedback Upvotes

Which community feedback comments you upvoted. Tracked in your browser and stored anonymously on the server so the count is accurate.

Published Remixes

Remixes you submitted for community display. These go through moderation before appearing on the site. Stored on the server with your author name (or "Anonymous" if you didn't provide one).

Remix Upvotes

Which community remixes you upvoted. Tracked in your browser and stored anonymously on the server so the count is accurate.

Cookies

We use exactly one cookie called ts_v2. It's a backup copy of your votes in case your browser clears its memory. It lasts 180 days and is not a tracking cookie. We do not use advertising, analytics, or any other cookies.

This is a live look at everything stored on your device and our server. Nothing else, nothing hidden.

Delete My Data

You're in control. Delete everything at once, or pick and choose what to remove. Local data is deleted instantly. If we have a server connection, your votes are removed from our database too.

Delete All My Data

This removes everything — your votes, feedback, upvotes, published remixes, remix cart, theme choice, viewing history, and device ID. If connected, it also removes your data from our server. This cannot be undone.

How Long We Keep Data

Data in your browser stays until you delete it (or clear your browser data). The vote backup cookie expires after 180 days. Server-side vote records are kept for the duration of the Gallery exhibition. When the exhibition ends, all server-side data is deleted.

You can delete your data at any time using the buttons above — there is no waiting period. Deletion happens instantly.

Third-Party Services

This site uses a few external services to work:

GitHub Pages — hosts this website (GitHub's privacy policy applies)
Google Fonts — provides the fonts you see (Google's privacy policy applies)
Supabase — stores anonymous vote counts (when connected)

We do not use advertising networks, analytics trackers, or social media pixels.

For Users Under 13

This site is designed for Austin students of all ages. We don't collect personal information like your name or email through voting. The voting system works without any personal info at all.

If you're a parent or guardian and think your child shared personal information with us, please reach out so we can remove it.
